Nearsightedness (Myopia)

Nearsightedness, or myopia, is when you can see near objects, but you have difficulty seeing objects that are far away.

This occurs when the cornea is deeper than normal, so the light enters your eye and focuses at a point in front of the retina.

The retina is like a projection screen in a theatre...if the movie isn't focused properly on the screen, you won't see it clearly!

Laser correction procedures can correct nearsightedness.
